Raphael S. Lee joined Levy Employment Law as Of Counsel after semi-retiring from over 20 years of full-time employment law practice. Raph advises on employment matters from hiring to termination, and everything in between, including diversity and inclusion initiatives, performance management, EEO compliance, drafting documents and workplace investigations.
Before joining the firm, Raph served as the lead employment lawyer S&P Global for over 6 years, overseeing employment law matters globally for a company of approximately 35,000 employees in over 30 countries. During that time he regularly advised members of the C-suite on highly sensitive matters, partnered closely with Human Resources on global initiatives and integrations, and provided thought leadership in an environment that endeavored to put people’s well-being and development at the forefront of the organization.
Raph started in private practice as an employment litigator for 7 years, first at Proskauer Rose and later at Davis & Gilbert, before moving to in-house practice. He served in progressively more senior in-house employment roles at AIG and Marsh McLennan before moving to S&P Global.
Raph has served as a faculty member and speaker with the Practicing Law Institute and American Conference Institute on employment law topics ranging from leaves of absence to diversity and inclusion. Raph received his J.D., cum laude, from New York University and a B.A. in philosophy, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
